TaskStamp

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective 22 July 2026 · Version 1.0 · Applies to all TaskStamp paid plans
The short version: the 14-day Pro trial never takes your card, so it can never charge you. Every paid plan can be cancelled in under a minute and keeps working until the paid period ends. If something we sell has a major failure, the Australian Consumer Law gives you refund rights that nothing on this page can take away.

1. The free trial cannot bill you

TaskStamp uses a reverse trial: new workspaces get full Pro for 14 days with no credit card collected. When the trial ends the workspace simply moves to the Free plan — your tasks and history stay readable. Because we never hold payment details for the trial, an accidental post-trial charge is technically impossible. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund.

2. How to cancel

Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the workspace drops to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted — history and tasks remain readable, and you can export everything as JSON any time (Settings → Plan & billing → Export my data).

Where you subscribedHow to cancel
Apple App StoreiPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → TaskStamp → Cancel. Apple bills and manages these subscriptions directly.
Google PlayPlay Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → TaskStamp → Cancel.
Web / direct card (Stripe)In-app: Settings → Plan & billing → manage plan, or email support@taskstamp.app from your account email.

3. Refunds — purchases through Apple

Apple processes payment and owns the refund decision for App Store purchases; we never see or hold your card for these. Request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. When Apple grants a refund we are notified and the subscription entitlement ends automatically — there is nothing further you need to do. Apple Media Services terms apply.

4. Refunds — purchases through Google Play

5. Refunds — direct card purchases (Stripe)

For subscriptions bought on our website with a card, our goodwill policy is:

SituationWhat happens
Monthly plan, changed your mindCancel any time; service runs to period end. No partial-month refunds except where the ACL requires one.
Annual plan, changed your mindFull refund within 30 days of purchase or renewal. After 30 days, pro-rata refund from the end of the month we approve it, at our discretion.
Billing error / duplicate chargeAlways refunded in full, within 10 business days of confirmation.
Major service failureRefund or compensation for the affected period, per your ACL rights (section 6).
Founding-member lifetime discountIf a discounted subscription is refunded and cancelled, the lifetime 30%-off rate ends; re-subscribing later uses current pricing.

6. Your Australian Consumer Law rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to have a problem remedied in a reasonable time — and, if it is not, to a refund. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

We genuinely want the ACL test to be easy to pass: if TaskStamp materially fails to do what we advertised, tell us and we will make it right.

7. How to request a refund or billing help

We acknowledge requests within 2 business days and resolve them within 5 business days. Approved card refunds are returned to the original payment method (banks typically take a further 5–10 business days to post them).

8. Chargebacks

Please contact us before lodging a chargeback — genuine errors are fixed faster with one email than through a bank dispute. Vexatious chargebacks (e.g. claiming refunds for services continuously used) may lead to account suspension while investigated.

9. What happens to your data after you cancel

Cancelling a paid plan never deletes data. The workspace moves to the Free plan with full read access to tasks and history. You can export everything (Settings → Plan & billing → Export my data) or permanently delete the account in-app (Settings → Team & cloud → Danger zone), which is instant and irreversible.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that reduces your rights, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email and in-app before it takes effect.
